The chain superstores now are a growing phenomenon. In arduous urban life, people are increasingly becoming more aware of the conveniences, time and moreover their own lifestyles. They are in many cases preferring to go to a chain superstore for their everyday shopping rather than to hazardous wet market. Ubiquitous food adulteration, weight manipulation, price distortion above all inconvenience in the wet market are making city dwellers more inclined to the Superstores where people can at least bank on. Once this industry was aimed to the upper class of the society but now with the changing trend and increasing income level, the industry focuses on the mass consumers. However, there are many hurdles strangle the escalation of the supermarket industry.
